Private Health Cover

Paying with Private Medical Insurance

This includes knee surgery insurance for procedures such as knee arthroscopy, ligament reconstruction, knee replacement and hip replacement. Our team can help confirm whether your insurer covers your proposed treatment and guide you through the next steps before your appointment.

If you’re unsure whether your insurer covers your treatment, our team can help you check.

Getting Started

How to Access Treatment Through Insurance

If you’re using private medical insurance, the process usually involves the following steps:

  • Contact your insurer Confirm that your policy covers consultations, investigations, and treatment.
  • Obtain a referral (if required) Some insurers require a GP or physiotherapy referral before authorising treatment.
  • Receive pre-authorisation Your insurer will issue an authorisation number for your appointment or procedure.
  • Attend your consultation We’ll assess your condition and confirm the most appropriate treatment plan.
  • Proceed with treatment Any excess payments or exclusions will be explained clearly before treatment begins.

Timelines can vary depending on your insurer and policy type, but our administrative team will guide you through each step.
