This cookie policy explains how OrthoLongevity uses cookies and similar technologies on www.ortholongevity.co.uk. Please read it alongside our privacy policy.

Who we are

This website is run by Ice Ortho Limited, trading as OrthoLongevity, company number 10490480, registered office Fairman Harris, 1 Landor Road, London SW9 9RX. We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office under registration number ZB152266. You can contact us at admin@ortholongevity.co.uk or on 0207 859 4016.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. They let the website remember things about your visit, such as whether a form has been checked for spam, or let us see in general terms how people use the site. Similar technologies, such as scripts that measure page visits, work in the same way and are covered by this policy.

The cookies we use

Strictly necessary

These are needed for the website to work safely and cannot be switched off. They include cookies set by Cloudflare, which protects and delivers the website, and by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that our enquiry and booking forms are being filled in by a person rather than an automated program. If you log in to manage the website, WordPress also sets cookies to keep you signed in. Patients do not log in to this website.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand how many people visit the website, which pages they read, how they arrived, and whether they go on to contact us or book an appointment. This helps us improve the website. Google Analytics only sets its cookies if you click Accept in the cookie box that appears when you first visit. It sets cookies such as _ga and _ga_ followed by an identifier, which usually last up to two years. The information is collected in a form that does not tell us who you are, and we do not use it to identify individual visitors. Google’s own privacy information is at policies.google.com/privacy.

Third-party content

Some pages show content from other services, and those services may set their own cookies when the content loads or when you interact with it:

  • YouTube, for embedded videos. Where we can, we use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode, which does not store information about you unless you play the video.
  • Trustindex, which displays our patient reviews from Google.
  • Google Fonts, which provides the fonts used on the website.

We do not control these cookies. Please see each provider’s own privacy and cookie policy.

Online booking

When you book an appointment online you move to our practice management system, Carebit, at carebit.co. Carebit sets the cookies it needs to run the booking process, and we measure completed bookings there so we can see which pages lead to appointments. Carebit’s own policies apply on that site.

Advertising

We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not sell information about your visit to anyone.

Managing cookies

When you first visit, a small box asks whether you accept analytics cookies. Until you click Accept, Google Analytics does not set any cookies. We remember your choice for six months in a cookie called ol_consent. You can change your cookie settings at any time, or use the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.

You can block or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Most browsers explain how to do this in their help pages, for example for Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge. You can also stop Google Analytics measuring your visits with Google’s opt-out browser add-on. If you block strictly necessary cookies, parts of the website, such as the enquiry form, may not work.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the services we use change. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
