Our legal basis
We use your information because it is necessary to provide the care you have asked for (contract), to meet legal and regulatory obligations, and for our legitimate interests in running a safe and effective practice. We use health information because it is necessary for the purposes of medical diagnosis, the provision of health care and the management of health care services, under Article 9(2)(h) of the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Where we rely on your consent, for example for marketing emails or optional cookies, you can withdraw it at any time.

We keep medical records for as long as is required by professional guidance and the law. For adults this is usually at least eight years after your last treatment, and longer in some circumstances, for example records of joint replacement surgery or records relating to children. Other information, such as enquiries that do not lead to an appointment, is kept only for as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected.

- withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent.
